The new corporation commissioner

M Prathap, a chemical engineering graduate who has cleared the UPSC exam in 2017, will be the new corporation commissioner of the Coimbatore district. Earlier, he served as sub-collector in Harur, Dharmapuri Dt. and as an Additional collector in Tiruvannamalai Dt.

His priority is to improve the basic amenities of the city for better living standards, conduct routine field visits to quicken up the pending and proceeding projects, and resume the weekly grievances meeting in the presence of the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, elected representatives and officials.
