The Ginger Hill area belongs to the Sultanpet Panchayat Union. The Mantragiri Velayutha Swamy Temple is one of the most famous temples in the area. Thus, a large number of devotees visit this temple every day and leave for Sami darshan.

In this condition, the occupations were high at the Ginger Hill junction on the Kattampatti-Koduvai road. Thus there was frequent traffic congestion.

Due to this, there were frequent accidents. Motorists and the public, therefore, demanded the removal of occupants in the intersection area.

Following this Pollachi Highways Divisional Engineer Paranitharan and Kinathukadavu Assistant Divisional Engineer Arunagiri inspected the road on the orders of the Highways Department officials.

This was followed by the demolition of the occupation. Officials led by Sultanpet Highways Department Assistant Engineer Mohan and Road Inspector Bernadette arrived there.

The Bokline machine was similarly summoned. Buildings occupying the area were later demolished. At that time, the police led by Sub-Inspector Ravi were engaged in security operations.
