The PSG Arts Alumni Association celebrate Teachers’ Day at the campus
The PSG Arts Alumni Association celebrated the Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2024, at 11.00 am in GRD Auditorium of PSG College of Arts & Science. Managing Trustee Shri L Gopalakrishnan wished all the teachers on this occasion. The program started with Guru Vandhanam by the students of the Music Club of PSG CAS followed by a prayer song by the students of Carnatic Music.
Shri J. Prithiviraj, Vice President, welcomed all the dignitaries, teachers and honored the retiring teachers with a shawl. Dr D Brindha, Principal, PSG CAS gave felicitation speech and highlighted on the importance and responsibilities of a teacher in the present scenario today. The guest speaker for the day, Dr Revathi Subbulakshmi, Vice Principal, Senthamil College, Madurai and a Pattimandram Speaker gave an inspirational speech about the importance of today’s education, which should not be only in academics but also instill important values like discipline, kindness, culture and curiosity among the students.
Dr D Brindha, Principal felicitated the guest with a Shawl, Shri J Prithiviraj, Vice President presented the memento and Dr T Kannaian, Secretary, PSG CAS honor with the Fifth brother, a monograph of PSG Institutions. On behalf of the Teachers’ Day Celebration, the Management presented gifts to all the Teaching faculty members. Dr T Kannaian, Secretary, PSG CAS present the same to Dr D Brindha, Principal. CA L Kamesh, Secretary PSG Arts Alumni Association delivered the vote of thanks. The program ended with the National Anthem.
