Temporary bridge

Residents of Sanarpalayam built a temporary bridge to cross Keeripallam Odai to carry a body of a woman Maragatham,88, to the burial ground there.

Sanarpalayam is in the Pa. Vellalapalayam panchayat near the Gobi. About 100 families live here. If anyone dies here, they will cross the Kirippallam stream that passes through and bury the bodies in the cemetery there. For this, they used a small ground bridge across the stream.

During the rainy season, garbages from the stream clogs the causeway, affecting the flow of rainwater. Thus the authorities removed the road bridge there a few years ago.

Thus if someone died, the public would go down to the stream and take the body to the cemetery. So the public is demanding that a small bridge be built across the stream to facilitate the transport of the body to the cemetery. But so far no action has been taken.

Maragatham (age 88), wife of Sivasubramaniam of Sanarpalayam died yesterday. His relatives built a temporary bridge across the stream to carry her body to the cemetery, where the body was taken amid great inconvenience and buried in the cemetery.

Therefore, the public has demanded the immediate construction of a bridge across the Keerippallam stream in Sanarpalayam, which has not had adequate access to the cemetery for many years.
