The Removal of transformer at Gothawadi pond for widening work
Gothawadi Lake is located in the Gothawadi area near Kinathukadavu. The 152-acre pond was cleared of bushes by the Gotavadikulam Conservation Organization, farmers and the public.
Currently there is water in the pond. At this stage, work is underway to widen the 910 meter long pond bank to 36 feet wide. Works were halted because there was a transformer.
Request was made to remove this transformer. Following this, the power plant staff removed the transformer from the Gothawadi pond by crane and put it in another place. The pool protection organization has thanked the Minister of Power and Energy for taking appropriate action..
