The Corporation Commissioner has issued an order to seal the shops of those who have not paid their rent for a long time.

Measures were taken to seal the shops of those who have not paid rent for the Corporation shops for a long time in Rama Krishnapuram ‌ Commercial Complex Shops ‌ and Thudiyalur ‌ Commercial Complex Stores.

As a result, tenants who have had arrears for a long time have paid Rs 2.77 crore as rent for the corporation-owned shops in the last 20 days.

Similarly, Letters have been sent to the Director and Managing Director, Integrated Child Development Service Office, Chennai, demanding payment of Rs 0.34 crore.

As per the order of the Commissioner of the Corporation, special measures are being taken to collect the revenue for tax-free items.
