The supply of copra from the Anaimalai Regulated Market was increasing
The copra auction was held at the Anaimalai Regulated Sales Hall yesterday under the chairmanship of Superintendent Manivasakam.
The cauldrons were brought for sale from Anaimalai and the surrounding area. Of this, 322 bundles of the first type of copra were auctioned at Rs.90 to Rs.92.25 per kg.
Type 2 302 bundles were auctioned at Rs.72 to Rs.87.50 per kg. Regarding this, the supervisor also said that a total of 624 bundles of copra had come up for auction. 92 farmers and 10 traders participated in the auction.
The average price was Rs 2.75 per kg lower than last week. But, there are 66 more eggs laid this week than last. Thus he said.
