Many universities have a number of degrees that are reminiscent of culture. But the different degrees being introduced at a prestigious university in France have caught everyone’s attention and no one would think to skip this class as this university has introduced such a degree.
The Sciences Po Lille, considered one of France’s most prestigious political and science schools, has introduced a master’s degree for those who want to eat, drink and live well. While this may not be credible to hear, it is the truth. This postgraduate degree is called BMW. BMW stands for ‘boire’, ‘manger’, ‘vivre’.
It consists of food, drinks, and lessons on ‘life’. This study is based on gastro-diplomacy, describes food technology, and gender discrimination in the kitchen. Lecturer Benôit Lengaigne teaches some unique lessons, the most important of which are ‘terrestrial foods’. A variation on a plant basis rather than writing essays, history of agriculture, and other topics are explained to the students through discussion.
