V. Balakrishnan IPS, Commissioner of Police visits PSG Santham
Shri V. Balakrishnan IPS, Commissioner of Police Coimbatore recently visited PSG Santham, the Palliative & Hospice Care at PSG Hospitals.
PSG Santham is a forty-four bedded exclusive palliative and hospice care unit at PSG Hospitals. The word Santham means ‘Peace’. The Santham is designed to improve the quality of life, it aids support in four main aspects of life Physical, Social, Psychological and Spiritual.
The Commissioner of Police, was all praise for the initiative and said “End-of-life care is an eye opener to me on many counts…They are instrumental in ensuring peaceful life for the cancer patients.” This being end of life care initiative will be a great supporting factor in the patients’ lives.
He was accompanied around the unit by the Shri L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons’ Charities and Dr. T. Balaji, Director, Department of Oncology, PSG hospitals.
