The awareness about the corona vaccine created this much demand among the people. The vaccine shortage is also a major issue. The officials said “Though it is a welcomed one It should be followed with stricter social distancing norms. So, the further spread of the coronavirus will be halted.”
Vaccine tokens
However, three weeks earlier, THE HINDU published that Coimbatore Corporation has revised its vaccine strategy by dividing the 100 wards into two groups and providing vaccines tokens to each group on alternate vaccination days.
Along with this many people are complaining about the errors in the covid19 certificates and failure to follow as per vaccine tokens as published in the Coimbatore edition of THE NEW INDIAN EXPRESS
They claimed that along with the ongoing vaccine shortage; several beneficiaries in the district who have taken the first dose of vaccine said they are yet to receive a confirmation SMS. This comes at a time when many people are coming forward to get complete their dose. They fear that without a record, the process of getting the second dose might be affected.
