The use of leather products has increased in our daily life. Beautiful bags, handbags, watch straps, belts, leather clothing for winter use, sandals, and a wide variety of leather goods are made using the skins of many animals, including goats, cows, and deer.

In this case, synthetic skins are being used instead of animal skins. In this case, vegan leather is a material that looks like animal skin and is made from plant materials instead of animal skin. Its use is now being talked about.

Meghalaya’s Minister of Forest and Environment and Energy James Sangma has said that the government of Meghalaya plans to set up a museum in Meghalaya to study the possibility of producing vegetarian skins from pineapple and to raise awareness about climate change.

Meghalaya is one of the major pineapple-producing states in India. About 8% of the total pineapple produced in India is produced in Meghalaya. As pineapple is the most important fruit crop in the state, research is being done on making artificial skin from it.
