Walkaroo Foundation inaugurated Football ground in Coimbatore
Munnetram 360 Project of Walkaroo Foundation attained yet another milestone on 16th August 2023 by setting up a Football Academy for the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Chettipalayam.
A press release said the Foundation had collaborated with the United Dream Sports Academy that would coach about 30 students. The facility had a football ground spanning 60 metres in length and 40 metres in width and a football court that was 55 metres long and 37 metres wide.
The Academy and associated facilities including the services of a reputed coach, all sponsored by Walkaroo Foundation, were handed over to the School by District Collector Shri. Kranthi Kumar Pati in the presence of Mr. Noushad.V, MD Walkaroo, School authorities and local representatives.
The first batch of students who enrolled for coaching include 20 girls and 16 boys. Walkaroo continues its endeavours in promoting sports as an inclusive medium to create achievers, to keep the next generation healthy and also to inculcate team spirit among all of them. We firmly believe that this will also help in channelising the attention of students to more productive outcomes and avoid them from falling prey to other prevalent vices.
