Adyar inside vehicles will break down after a while. Depending on how far the vehicle has traveled and how well the vehicle is being maintained, its malfunction period may vary. It should be replaced after the malfunction. But have you ever wondered how old tires are disposed of? There have been some changes recently in the government’s policy regarding liability for disposing of old tires.
According to data provided for the National Green Tribunal (NGT) case, about 2,75,000 tires in India go out of order every year, but there is no comprehensive plan to remove them. In addition, about 3 million waste tires are coming in for recycling.
NGT, on September 19, 2019, directed the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to submit comprehensive waste management and waste tire plan on the issue of proper management of life-threatening tires/waste tires (ELT). Also, it was advised to recycle useless tires.
Waste tires are recycled in the form of recycled rubber, crushed rubber, crushed rubber modified bitumen (CRMB), recovered carbon, and pyrolysis oil/charcoal.
