Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that nature farming should be transformed into a people’s movement. He also stressed that all state governments should come forward to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly organic farming to revolutionize agriculture.
Addressing a national conference on agriculture and food processing, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today, some farmers believe that farming is not possible without chemicals, but this is completely wrong. We need to learn the ancient traditions of nature farming where we were in touch with nature, “said Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi).
He added, “Natural agriculture will bring greater benefits to 80 per cent of small farmers in India who own less than two hectares of land. The situation of these farmers will be greatly improved if the money spent on chemical fertilizers is reduced and they return to organic farming. ”
