What took 10 wickets in India? New Zealand removes Ajaz Patel

New Zealand, Cricket

The New Zealand team toured India after completing the 20-over World Cup. The team, which first played in the 20-over series led by Rohit Sharma, lost all three matches and lost the series.

It was the first 20-over series since the appointment of Rohit Sharma as captain and Rahul Dravid as head coach of the Indian team. The series turned out to be a successful series for both. New Zealand captain Williamson has been retired from the series and Tim Southee has been named captain.

Following the 20-over series, New Zealand faced India in a Test series led by Virat Kohli. The New Zealand team lost one of the two matches in the series and drew another match.

Ajaz Patel, who was part of the New Zealand team in the series, set a historic record. That is, he took all 10 wickets of the Indian team in a single inning. He became the 3rd bowler in Test cricket history to do so.

The decision by the New Zealand team came as a shock to everyone as the cricket world was expecting him to shine a chance in the upcoming series as he has performed this feat in India. Ajaz Patel has been ruled out of the Test series against Bangladesh, who are touring New Zealand.

The New Zealand administration has decided that only one spinner will be needed as the Test match will be played on a pitch conducive to fast bowling. Accordingly, Rachin Ravindra, who is of Indian descent, was given the opportunity and Ajaz Patel was sacked.
