Will Chris Gayle’s dream of playing in another World Cup come true?

T20

“I still want to play in a World Cup, but they won’t let me in,” said West Indies superstar Chris Gayle.

The West Indies’ eight-wicket defeat to Australia in the T20 World Cup is seen as the biggest setback for the defending champions, their fourth defeat in five matches. It was at this point that Chris Gayle expressed frustration that he wanted to play in the next World Cup, but that did not seem to get him permission.

Dwaine Bravo, 38, of the West Indies, has confirmed that his international cricket career is over, but 42-year-old ‘Universe Boss’ Gayle has revealed that he wants to continue playing international cricket. “It’s a wonderful life. I didn’t announce retirement,” Gayle said.

West Indies captain Kieran Pollard said the “end of a generation” had arrived. The West Indies are currently out of the semi-finals. Both Bravo and Gayle were honored by the Australian players and sent off. “Bravo was an inspiration to all the players, Chris, the one I always wanted,” said Australian opener David Warner with flexibility. David Warner was unbeaten on 89 in that game.
