World Entrepreneurs Day celebrated at PSG CAS
The Centre for Innovation Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CII&E) at PSGCAS, in collaboration with Startup TN, Government of Tamil Nadu, and FICCI Flo Coimbatore Chapter, hosted a World Entrepreneurship Day Celebration on August 21st, 2024.
This event aimed to ignite entrepreneurial spirit among students and showcase the potential of startups. Keynote addresses were delivered by Dr. D. Brindha, Principal of PSGCAS, who emphasized the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship, and Dr. T. Kannaian, Secretary of PSGCAS, who felicitated the gathering.
The event featured Shri. R. Paramashivam, Assistant General Manager of SIDBI, who highlighted financial opportunities for MSMEs and startups, and Mrs. Meena, Chairperson of FICCI Flo Coimbatore, who spoke passionately about entrepreneurship, especially for women. Mr. Rajsekar from Startup TN shared insights into government support for student entrepreneurs. A significant highlight was the launch of “PSG Caspreneurs’24,” a book profiling successful startups affiliated with PSGCAS.
As part of social responsibility, five startups led by socially underprivileged individuals were recognized. Eight student startups, having secured funding from various ministries and private sectors, were officially launched. The event was well-received, with participants expressing their appreciation for the initiative. This celebration underscored PSGCAS’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, making a lasting impact on the local startup ecosystem.
